Arguably one of the youngest people to be certified by TetraMap as a Facilitator (at the age of 19 in 2018), Metta aims to aid youth discover their own leadership paths just like he did. With much gratitude to his alma mater for providing him with leadership opportunities, Metta began his journey of being a student facilitator in School of Science and Technology, Singapore. His experiences of being the President of the Student Council put him in good stead of becoming a facilitator.

Apart from organising internal events in schools such as the Student Congress, Metta has also worked with external parties in advocating meaningful causes through facilitation. He was part of the organising committee to conduct Cyberwellness Student Ambassador Programme (CWSAP) 2015 on a national level involving over 100 primary schools and a number of government agencies including Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE), Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) and the Inter-Ministry Cyber Wellness Steering Committee (ICSC). This by students, for students conference provided an extended platform to engage student voice and promote cyber wellness peer advocacy.

Moreover, he was invited to be a keynote speaker at the Civica’s Annual Ministry of Education Symposium “Inherit the Past, Live the Present, Create the Future” back in 2014.

Despite being young, Metta is a curious and hardworking individual that is open to collaborations to work on youth-related events. Being a youth himself, he hopes to offer insights into engaging youth to find their voice and their leadership potential.
