Overview

Edward Gallier, People Development Consultant, is degree-qualified with 20 years working within the lifestyle industries, hospitality, leisure, and tourism, gaining experience in business operations and human resources. During his career he has worked for a number of organisations including Letherby & Christopher Ltd, Pride of Britain Hotels, Jarvis Hotels, and most recently for Jurys Doyle Hotels as Group Development & Training Manager. He created U Flourish, an L&D consultancy, and is now working as Group L&D Manager for Jurys Inn Group.

A learning and development specialist and chartered member of the CIPD, Edward plays an active part in the hospitality industry. He is retained as a Conde Nast Johansens hotel inspector and Vice Chair of PATH (Placement Advisers in Tourism & Hospitality) a special interest group within the Council for Hospitality Management Education (CHME). During the 2002 Commonwealth Games he put his skills and expertise to the test as manager of the VIP Protocol Lounge at the City of Manchester Stadium.

I love the instrument as it clearly demonstrates to a team the strength of inter-dependency rather than working for personal gain alone. Within the learning session it becomes visibly clear that everyone is different and how valuing diversity is key to team success.

Any participant using TetraMap will leave a session with a new appreciation of their communication style and the impact improved communication will have on relationships, outcomes, and therefore personal success – communication is the key in all the area of development I work in.
