Voice of the customer – Mark
Doughty explains

By Louise

I've tried many tools but always come back to TetraMap. It's like a hot knife through butter. Simple, effective, and works across all 5 generations.

We’re fortunate to work with people right across the world who ask us the question:
Mark is one of those clients who questions “Why doesn’t everyone know about TetraMap? ”

In his career, Mark Doughty has worked on a number of very successful people development projects in large organisations where TetraMap has been included and continues to make a massive difference. He shares just a few of the many gems in this video interview.

It’s long form, in total 35 minutes. We’d like to add that in the hands of someone like Mark who continues to explore how it can be used, there is no limit to the application of TetraMap. His experience serves to remind us that simple is good, and fast and effective works.

We’ve cut a few clips into shorts here and listed the full-length video at the end.

We’re in the people business

The nub of this is how people are talking to people.  Enabling us to have more meaningful conversations because of how you are, not what you do.  TetraMap brings a lot of edge to the spectrum – especially from the end to end value chain where everybody wins.

I’ve been trained in psychological testing, and over 15 profiling tools, and consistently at the top is TetraMap!

A hot knife through butter

They get it straight away and can easily make a leap of faith. It’s simple, they get the narrative quickly and voila!

Don’t miss these points:

  • Mark explains why he always comes back to TetraMap and how it is bridging discussions between boomers, Gen X, Y and Z in the workplace. From 1.53 to 6.00

  • Hot knife through butter. This metaphor describes the simplicity and effectiveness of TetraMap and how people buy into the narrative and preferences. From 6.15 to 8.20

  • Four stories of success.
    – The Lightbulb moment that came from self-awareness and generated a 1.5m business success,

    – Chatter overheard in the lunch queue where two colleagues began to collaborate on approaching an internal client – demonstrating the pervasive use of TetraMap’s language as a connector.

    – What happened in the lift? Anecdotal cross team excitement. Whatever it is we need some of that energy and enthusiasm please!

    – Personality or ego clash can have serious consequences. For two senior leaders TetraMap helps people navigate a way forward.
    From 9.41 to 19.30

  • Mark sums up his recommendations and loops us right back to the start. He has an amazing story to tell, he’s a leader who believes the people are the business, and through this interview explains how to generate solutions to some of the challenges faced in today’s world.
